Last week I was lucky enough to be invited to Edesia Café, which is a part of the new Avani Adelaide Residence’s on Franklin Street.

A few things I noted before even eating the food that I really liked about this spot was the interior and setup of the café! Plenty of natural light poured in through the windows, the colour scheme of the café was green and vibrant and you could tell how new the place was.

The customer service we received was fantastic, very attentive and we were looked after very well.

Now, for the hardest part of all of my visits – picking the meal!

Edesia has quite a large menu with plenty of variety, which I always LOVE, but it also makes picking the meal you want difficult! We started off with two fresh juices, the Red and The Cleanse. Both juices were delicious and refreshing and an absolutely perfect start to our meal.

Their menu has options from all day breakfast, to lunch options, sharing places and even salads and bowls for those trying to be healthy! As standard to what we usually get, we opted for the Rueben & the Shakshuka along with a side salad of vine tomatoes, bocconcini and basil.

The Rueben was packed with the goods, silverside beef, melted swiss cheese, sauerkraut and pickles, toasted to perfection, it was an absolutely delicious sandwich. The Shakshuka came with with a baked egg, in a spiced rich tomato sauce and a side of Turkish bread. The sauce was rich in flavour and a perfect mixture with the Turkish bread. It only came with one baked egg though, which I gobbled up quite fast.

The side salad of the tomatoes and bocconcini was the perfect side to have, it was refreshing and paired really well with the rich tomato based sauce.

I would really recommend visiting if you have the chance, there are still so many other dishes I would love to try but didn’t have enough room in my tummy to eat it all!

Thanks again to the lovely team for looking after us and for inviting us along to try it out.

You can find out more about their menu below.
