Since it opened, I have had my eye on Hakata to visit and get some delicious Ramen, but of course Adelaide has been about 40 degrees too much to eat a hot bowl of deliciousness so I had to wait until a cool day came. As soon as that cool change came I jumped on the chance to visit and was so excited. The interior is very modern and fun, with plenty of seating and tables there is enough space for small groups or large groups, or maybe you just wanted to pop in on your own.

Besides their food menu, they have an incredible list of drinks including a range of Sake, Japanese beer and wines, it’s the perfect spot to visit for some delicious bites of Ramen, karaage, yakitori and so much more.

Now onto the Ramen, I ordered the signature Tonkotsu, and I’m sorry I know the photo of it is very underwhelming because I was rushing to take it so that I could eat, and I promise that I will go back and take a better one for everyone but, I couldn’t wait. I found the broth to be flavourful but not overpowering, which you can sometimes get with ramen and it can leave a bit of a strong flavour in your mouth. This was the perfect balance of flavour and mildness.

The noodles, oh my. You can pick between thin and thick, I ordered the thin noodles and they were perfectly cooked to what my preference is, I thoroughly enjoyed them.

The egg came whole, usually you would get maybe one half of an egg included and although it was a little bit more difficult to eat being whole, I actually really enjoyed it. I found that keeping in whole meant that the yolk stayed soft and creamy even when sitting in the broth and the flavour in the egg was perfect.

The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was brought out quite quickly which is always a plus.

Overall, I really really enjoyed my visit here. If you are a ramen fan I would highly suggest you check them out. I think It’s definitely in my top favourite Adelaide Ramen!
